Pest Report

Timber pests can cause damage if allowed to go unchecked and can significantly de value a property. Before you buy a home, it is recommended that you have a timber pest inspection report prepared by Acclaimed Building Consultancy to make sure termites or other timber pests do not infest the property. Timber pests can cause costly damage to a property.

All our timber pest inspections are carried out in accordance with the Australian Standard 4349.3 - 1998 w hich is a nationally accepted standard for the timber pest inspections and reports. This type of inspection includes External and internal walls and floors, fences, trees, gardens and stumps, Garage and other structures, Posts and timber retaining walls, Subfloor and roof void (subject to available access). The report will inform you of any current infestation, previous damage, areas likely to be infested in the future, and areas where additional inspections are recommended to maintain effective physical and chemical timber pest barriers.

The main causes of pest damage are Borers, Delignification (breakdown down of a structure e.g. timber), and Termites, Timber decay by Fungi. (Refer to sample pictures.)
